Hypertensive disorders of pregnancy: an update for GP’s

APEC’s new online GP training course on pre-eclampsia consists of 2 parts: antenatal care and postnatal care. It is a fully CPD accredited clear and comprehensive overview of pre-eclampsia designed to enable GPs to effectively diagnose and care for patients with pre-eclampsia.

The materials on this course have been produced in accordance with the United Kingdom National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines on the management of hypertension in pregnancy. You can access the guidelines at: https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng133.

Notes for users

This online course carries CPD accreditation. It is designed for General Practitioners caring for women with raised blood pressure in pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, worried about your baby and / or think you are experiencing symptoms of pre-eclampsia, please contact your doctor or midwife immediately. All the medications discussed in this program should be prescribed by a doctor.
